These are designated female (gender specific) roles and have been assessed as satisfying a special measure as per the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic).

These positions are to commence services from the new Women & Children’s Crisis Accommodation Centre and is based on a core and cluster model which is a set of individual residential units together with an office space and communal activities area. The Centre works within a strength-based person-centred practice that supports women and children escaping domestic and family violence to achieve their own goals.  This allows for independent living while also providing comprehensive support services for individual victim survivors, and victim survivors with children and young people. 

Role purpose:
Full-time ongoing rotation roster including weekends and overnight stays. 
The Practitioner will provide screening, assessment, triage and short-term support to residents and support the case manager to deliver wrap around services.

About the role: 
To provide case management and care coordination to recipients of Rumbalara Home Care Packages.

We are seeking someone who:
•  Is experienced in the delivery of Case Management services and Consumer Directed Care.
•  Has an understanding of the issues faced by older Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander people.
•  Is familiar with and operate in accordance with funding guidelines, funding and service agreements, programs policies & procedures and associated legislation

Minimum qualifications required to be considered for this position include: Tertiary qualifications in Aged Care, Community Services, Case management or equivalent

Foster Care Worker

Role purpose
•  The Foster Care worker is responsible for providing case management or case support (as appropriate) to children and young people placed into both statutory and voluntary foster care.
 
•  The Foster Care Worker will work closely with the Placement Coordination Unit at Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) to establish placement for children referred to the foster care program and responsible for the completion of the Looking After Children requirements for children in out of home care.

•  Will work alongside the Assessment worker to complete comprehensive assessments and provide training, supervision and support to prospective foster carers to ensure that young person needs are met in a timely manner.

Minimum qualifications required to be considered for this position include: Community Services/ Early Childhood or equivalent.

The Aboriginal Family Violence Practitioner will provide screening, assessment, triage and short-
term response to all incoming referrals through the Orange Door Hub. Modelling integrated practice
approaches and behaviours integral to ethical clinical practice working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander children and families

Minimum qualifications required to be considered for these positions include: Qualifications in a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent is preferred however a Diploma of Community Services Work/Cultural Diversity and/or a relevant discipline will be considered dependant on applicants’ willingness to further study towards a Bachelor’s Degree.
